Our take: One of the work horse components of the
mechbox is the Krytac piston. The piston and piston head assembly are
mainly composed of durable lightweight polymer. All of the polymer
piston teeth are reinforced on both sides, with the last four teeth
purely made of metal. From the four last teeth, the second to last tooth
of the piston is absent to ease in the fine tuning of the AEG, for our
tech savvy crowd. Dial in your personal preferences to utilize your full
tactical potential during combat. The Krytac pistons head is
constructed of polymer and is ported to allow the cylinder to quickly
refill itself with air to create a smooth cycle in preparation for the
next shot. The polymer composition is very ideal in efforts to keep the
overall weight of the piston low. With that, it allows for easy movement
in hope that wear and tear will be greatly reduced in the long run.
Maintaining healthy mechanics can significantly stretch the lifetime of
your gearbox and rifle.
